Choreographer & Workshop/Camp Clinician
Hi! My name is Katie and I am a choreographer, and intermedia artist from Anchorage, Alaska and recently completed my MFA in Dance at The Ohio State University. I'm an awardee of the Individual Artist Award from the Rasmuson Foundation of Alaska, a Graduate Fellow and Teaching Associate at The Ohio State University, and a co-founder of two multidisciplinary dance companies, Sunlight Collaboration (Anchorage, AK) and 8 out of 8 Artist Collective (Columbus, OH). I have worked with national and international directors and choreographers, including Susana Pous, Eddie Taketa, and Brian Jeffery. She has taught collegiately in the dance programs at the University of Alaska, Anchorage and at The Ohio State University.
My dance career started with my time competing in gymnastics. I have kept my connections to the sport over the years as a dance coach and floor choreographer. I am excited to be on the exceptional team of choreographers for Precision Choreography again and am looking forward to a summer of working with young athletes who want to pursue their artistry and expression on the gym floor.
